Nike Recalls Retro “The One Line” Sneakers with Air Force 1 “NAI-KE”

Way back in 1980, Nike and tested a new wave of Swooshless trainers through one of their Chinese factories. Though the legendary “The One Line” run of samples is not often directly honored by Nike, one of its annual releases, the Asia-exclusive “NAI-KE” Air Force 1, remembers the project with fond memories.

Clad mostly in cream-bone suede, the history-honoring midfoot stripes arrive glazed on in bright white over the mid panel and Swoosh with an identical placement and angle to the 40-year-old samples. Leather Checks and heel overlays work in tonal hues, as too does the nylon tongues, laces, liners, tongue tags, and sole units. There is a splash of color, though, with deep seas blue hues hitting the upper eyestay, the midsole’s heel detail, and the solitary insole Swoosh. The latter forms part of a special NAI-KE Chinese design, with its English counterpart sitting atop the dubraes. There’s one final call-out to The One Line at the tongue, while the flipside offers meaningful “Elevating Inner Peace Through Sports” text.

Enjoy an official look at the Nike Air Force 1 “NAI-KE” for 2021 here below, and look for these to roll out at select retailers in Asia on November 9 — some in special-edition shipping container packaging (pictured further below)
