With a return of the OG "Sport Royal" release in '86 Big Bubble format — and a reinterpretation of the "Keep Rip'n Stop Slip'n — there's plenty of upcoming heat to keep Air Max 1 lovers keen. For the next generation, too, with Nike poised to release a kid's exclusive bathed in delightful shades of pink, perfect for the spring season.
This newly unveiled kid's version of the Air Max 1 brings a heritage-inspired approach to its color-blocking. While not a replica of the aforementioned “Sport Royal” model, it features a “White” mesh base that elegantly contrasts with the nubuck panels colored in a soft, muted pink, extending from the vamp to the spine.
The design's vibrancy is amplified by bolder pink hues adorning the profile swooshes and mudguards, creating a playful yet sophisticated look. Plastic upper eyelets and the “Nike” branding on the tongue label also embrace this lively color scheme.
Underneath, the midsole mostly sticks to a “colorless” finish, highlighting the visible Air unit's rosy hue. The sole doesn't shy away from the fun, featuring waffle-patterned traction in the upper's more vibrant pink, maintaining the freshness that has defined the Air Max 1 for nearly four decades.
