Nike Air Max 1000.2 “Glacier Blue” Drops July 30
Nike and Zellerfeld are expanding their 3D-printed footwear project with the Air Max 1000.2 “Glacier Blue,” a stealthy new colorway scheduled to release July 30 for $180.
The updated Air Max model arrives almost entirely in black, allowing its unusual construction to take center stage. Textured sections wrap around the forefoot, heel, and sides, while a smoother molded overlay stretches across the top of the foot to create a laceless, slip-on design.
Small tonal Swooshes appear throughout the upper, keeping the branding understated. The “Glacier Blue” name comes to life inside the exposed heel Air unit, which adds the pair’s only noticeable hit of color and features “AIRMAX 1000.2” branding across the window.
Underfoot, a heavily segmented black outsole gives the futuristic silhouette a more familiar running-inspired foundation. The pair also arrives in special orange packaging featuring “Future Bowerman” branding and Air Max 1000.2-specific tissue paper.
The Air Max 1000.2 slightly updates the original Air Max 1000, continuing Nike and Zellerfeld’s use of 3D-printing technology to reinterpret familiar Air Max design language through a more experimental build.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 “Glacier Blue” releases July 30 through Nike SNKRS for $180.
