Just Surfaced! Nike Air Max 2090 “Lava Glow”

The Nike Air Max 90 burst on the scene some 30 years ago. It was so impressive that, three decades on, it’s still one of Nike’s best selling silhouettes. With such popularity, it would be a natural progression to commemorate the occasion with a modernized edition. The Beaverton team took a step back, looked into the future and imagined up what would have been if the shoe was birthed some 100 years later. Enter the Nike Air Max 2090.

Next up for the new silhouette is this ladies-exclusive “Lava Glow” Air Max 2090 which pairs soft pinks and orange to create a cocktail-colored upper. Solid pink synthetics ride the vintage-inspired mudguards, with similar-yet-semi-translucent shades sitting atop the lacestay and toe overlays. Underfoot you’ll find a classic white midsole, silver heel counter, and grey rubber outsole, and the pair is capped off the bold strokes of black along the lateral Swooshes, heel pulls and insoles.

A release date for this “Lava Glow” Air Max 2090 is yet to be announced, but you can expect to arrive at select Swoosh stockists like Foot Locker very soon.
