This New Nike Air Max 270 React Mimics the Mars Yard
Seemingly taking a break from its wild color palates, Nike’s new Air Max 270 React has been bringing their latest installments back to Earth with a handful of seasonal options on the horizon. But this next pair appears to be heavily grounded in Mars — not Earth — taking its inspiration from the formidable Tom Sach’s Mars Yard. The iconic 2017 collaboration from the American contemporary artist — which is currently going for well over $6k on Flight Club — pairs sails and whites with golden tan overlays, and is capped off with bold red accents on the Swoosh and pull tabs (below) — just one glance at the upcoming 270, and should come as no surprise that we’ve dubbed these the Air Max 270 “Mars Yard”
This Air Max 270 React “Mars Yard” takes a similar approach to its blocking and colors, pairing a light beige base with white and light tan overlays. The leather eyelet overlays and the eyelets themselves take on a nude-natural hue, with the latter — along with the Swooshes, tongue branding and heel pulls — arrive in a deep red. Also mimicking the notorious collaboration is a white midsole and light cream rubber outsole.
