The Air Max 270 is Back in Sail and Beige
Are we on the verge of an Air Max 270 resurgence? It seems that way, with more and more colorways of the 2018 silhouette sneaking through to shelves this season. First, it was this Kentucky-themed release, and now it’s this sail and beige banger — and we’re loving it. The lifestyle silhouette hit the market running at the start of 2018, which housed — at the time — the biggest Air Unit in the history of Nike. Of course, that title didn’t last long, with the Air Max 720 unveiled just 12 months later. But despite being overshadowed so quickly, the silhouette established itself as a favorite over the course of its short shelf life. It has, however, been on hiatus for a minute, but that all appears to be turning around.
This option sees a relatively simple build of all-sail textile, beige glaze overlays, and a heavy-duty fabric heel wrap and clip in a tonal clear brown hue. Stark black accents arrive only at the pair’s Swoosh sets and rear lettering, with the remaining branding pops opting for sherbert orange. white midsoles provide some relief from the warmly-tinted hues above, and the pair is complete with a two-piece beige rubber outsole — semi-translucent in the rear, and solid at the forefoot.
Update: After an initial release in 2021, Nike US has confirmed a restock for the pair for December 10th, 2023.
