We’ve seen a vast array of takes on the futuristic silhouette that is the Air Max 720 thus far, but as Nike prepares itself for the cool, dark months ahead, we’re starting to see different materials and makeups take shape. This Air Max 720 “Pixel” pairing is one of those, featuring a few new retoolings; first and most obviously, the pixel-style print on the upper and the metallic mesh — both of which are 3M reflective for late-night sight — as well as leather overlays in place of the traditionally used plastics. It’s also the first pair to surface that sports a printed-on pattern, which means we could see a plethora of new prints in the near future (including the recently revealed “Flame-Toe” Air Max 720)
