For as long as one can remember, Nike has shown big love to the Asian market, from the Co.JP exclusives to the famed “Nai-Ke” series. There’s the annual CNY celebrations, too, and even one-off collections like this new, untitled, double-Swoosh series. Until we receive an official work from the Swoosh, we’ve simply tilted these the Air Max 90 “Asia”, given its clear Eastern influence.

Anchored in an intriguing off-white mesh weave, the pair’s intricacies continue to a set of iridescent jade Checks, dual red mini Swooshes to its superior, and overlaying NIKE embroidery in a stylized font. There’s more Asian influence at the tongue and heel, though it’s not quite clear what they read from these first looks. The remainder of the sneaker is fairly simple, with tonal leathers overlays, translucent eyestays and plastic panels, and a minimal white and black sole unit — the latter, however, is spruced-up by a beige Air cassette and volt Air supports that complete the design.

A release date for this all-new Air Max 90 “Asia” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com in time for Summer.
