The Air Max 90 has been privy to some pretty clean colorways since its fully-fledged 30th anniversary run in 2020, with the trend continuing all the way through to 2022. And although we’re used to seeing the silhouette shine through color and material this summer, its the autumnal offerings that provide some of the best and most versatile colorways. This new Air Max 90 “Black Bordeaux” option is one of those, as its unassuming arrangement offers up some beautiful yet subtle contrast through material selection and placement.

Anchored in a classic mesh, the pair look to tonal leather overlays, plastics, and suede Swooshes that enable each blacked-out element to give off its own aura. From there, pops of maroon hit the brand marks at the tongue, heel, and profile, as well as the stowed Air supports and toe tips. A striking white midsole sits underfoot, with jet black Air cassettes and rubber outsoles rounding out the design.

A release date for this all-new Air Max 90 “Black Bordeaux” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com in time for Fall.
