Air Max 90 “Campfire Orange” Experiments with Color and Texture

The Air Max 90 has come off a strong 2020, a year in which it celebrated its 30th anniversary. With a handful of planned releases pushed back due to the effects of COVID-19, we’re seeing a fairly strong start to the new year, too. From the highly-desirable “Love Letter” release to the DQM “Bacon” reissue, the silhouette looks primed to have an even bigger year yet. The next, this Nike Air Max 90 “Campfire Orange”, once again opts for a colorful arrangement, pairing a mix of warm hues with neutrals and piercing pops of Racer Blue, too.

Here, each panel sports its own unique material and hue, ranging from mesh toes and tongue, and thick suede and snakeskin leathers throughout. The latter drapes both the titular orange mudguards and Racer Blue Checks, both of which meet a natural leather overlay at the midfoot. Underneath, you’ll find suede at the collar, golden mesh at the toe, and pink-tinted tongues, with hits of pinkish-orange, arrive at the eyelets and vamp overlay. More orange arrives at the branded panel, rear overlay and Air supports, with a tri-tone outsole meeting a crisp white midsole underfoot. Completing the design is a slew of Racer Blue branding hits throughout.

A release date for this colorful Nike Air Max 90 “Campfire Orange” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
