    Nike Cook-Up a Cork-Filled Air Max 90 Creation

With still a long, long way to go in its 30th anniversary year, Nike won’t yet be figuratively putting a cork in the Air Max 90 releases — but they will be doing so on a literal level.

Coming in hot is this fresh new take on the Air Max 90 that, on the surface, appears to be a bland, neutral bone make, though closer inspections reveal something extra-ordinary. Firstly, the use of fine fabrications feature as the pair’s champion, with nappy suede overlays, canvas uppers and supple leathers all provide the pairs with a heightened aesthetic. But what really puts the icing on the cake for this tonal take is it’s accompanying fine details like corked insoles scribed with Tom Sachs-like “Just Do It” branding, and outsole reminiscent of the forthcoming, fully-upcycled Space Hippie line.

There’s currently no official release date locked in for this montaged Air Max 90, but you should be expecting it to arrive at select Swoosh stockists and Nike.com shortly. For further updates — like when and where you can pick these staples up — make sure you’re following HOUSE OF HEAT’s official Twitter account, but until then, enjoy a closer look at this pair here below.
