The Air Max 90 Gets Geared with Gum Soles and Contrast Stitching
Throughout its 30th anniversary celebration, we’ve seen the Air Max 90 run through a wide variety of finishes, from Earth-friendly options to the recently-revealed “Multi-Color Fur” duo. Though not a new finish by any stretch of the imagination, the next pair to surfaces brings some unique flair through a classic white and gum construction, complete with seldom-used contrast stitching.
Uppers, decked out in clean white mesh, arrive overlayed by a duo of warm off-white leather overlays at the vamp and mudguard that work in tandem with the tonal Swoosh, eyelets, and rear overlays. Everything above the sole unit is tacked on by contrast stitching, be it the earthy brown thread along the overlays, or the stark white stitching of the tan leather tongue tag. The upper’s simplicity is mirrored underfoot, with an all-white midsole and Air cassette paired with a timeless gum rubber outsole. Completing the design is the use of gum-colored Air supports and the intriguing use of lemon-colored insoles.
A release date for this contrast stitched White/Gum Air Max 90 has not yet been revealed, so while we await further details, grab an official look at the pair here below and be sure to keep our eyes glued to our official Twitter account for updates.
