Though we’re just getting primed for Summer, Nike has its sights set on Fall futures, with an ever-increasing number of Autumn-appropriate options appearing. Given that Fall is still considered trainer season, the Air Max line has been the benefit of most of these thus far, with yet another emerging — this one a color-matched option to the Air Max 95 from earlier this week — in the Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Driftwood”
Setting the tone early is the pair’s use of sail mesh uppers — a staple light base for the season — before more expected hues of tan and brown find their way to the leather and nubuck overlays, eyestays, and Air cassettes. Swooshes ditch leather in favor of a textured synthetic, matched in black hue at the heel overlay, Air supports, and outsole. The latter is hit with licks of tan and brown to mirror the upper, and the pair is completed by a sail midsole, an easily-overlooked jersey mesh tongue, and a set of black insoles.
