Heat Up the Greens in this New Nike Air Max 90 Golf “Desert Golf”

Nike’s Air Max 90 Golf has always provided a more stylish alternative to kiltie-wearing Footjoys and dad shoe designs, but over the past 18 months or so, the Swoosh has really come into its own. Delivering everything from staple two-tone colorways to daring themed releases, the growth of the game to a significantly younger audience has seen the Nike Golf, specifically, the Air Max 90 Golf, broaden its horizons — but none have been quite as wild as this new Nike Air Max 90 “Desert Golf” colorway that deploys unique finishes like cracked molten overlays, iridescent, and melting Swooshes — and it’s expected to arrive in time for the Waste Management Open.

Take those finishes, and slap them on a two-tone cream and white leather upper, tack on some charcoal accents and a semi-translucent pink outsole, and you’ve got one fit-for Phoenix Open offering. There are flaming-hot golf ball motifs on the tongue, outsoles that read “heating up,” and warped graphic insoles that parallel a scorching hot day on the Links in Arizona.

To say this is one of the most audacious offerings from Nike Golf in years is an understatement.
