Jewelry for footwear has become rife in the day and age of Instagram, and it did not take Nike too long to capitalize on the movement. Everything from Cuban Links to lace rings has hit a handful of silhouettes — mostly the classics — in order to add Instagram-worthy elements. Now it’s time for another, with this Nike Air Max 90 “Lucky Charms” (White/Gold) set to release alongside a matching Ash Green colorway this November.
Anchored entirely in white, the pair works through the standard mesh, leather, rubber, and EVA materials that you’d expect from any stock-standard Air Max 90 release. Sprucing things up is the obvious jewelry that is attachable on either the medial or lateral sides, but there is also a handful of subtle tweaks that elevates the pair ever so slightly. Firstly, tongues arrive in padded nylon, while liners and insoles observe a silver-white velour finish. The latter is then dressed with metallic gold branding to complete the design.
Update 11.23.21 Official images for the Nike Air Max 90 “Lucky Charms” have landed.
