Nike’s design team is running out of time before the end of the year to keep the party going for the 30-year-old silhouette, not that we needed an excuse to celebrate the Nike Air Max 90. This latest inclusion to the shoes forever growing catalog is eerily reminiscent of the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” palette and draws upon 90s fashion for its inspiration.
Often visited by the silhouette, the multi-hued vibrant color palette is a fan-favorite for the huge following of the AM90 and if recent announcements are anything to go by, this could be the start of a new trend. The quintessential construction of the shoe is what we all know and love, the desaturated move fabric upper provides the base for the darker purple and black leather overlays which are eclipsed by the pink and blue iconic plastic lace stays. The foundation of the shoe is established by the two-tone blue and white midsole unit which is framed by the trio of colors fluorescent yellow, pink, and blue that splashes across the rubber outsole. Fluorescent yellow adorns the swoosh and tongue and heel branding.
