New Air Max 90 Appears in White, Grey, Black and Varsity Red

While the Air Max 1and Air Max 97 are reading some huge projects for their respective anniversaries, other Air Max classics are forging their own path. One of those who’s staying relevant on their own terms is Tinker’s third Air Max design, with this new Nike Air Max 90 proffering a simple white, grey, black and Varsity Red rendering.

Delivered atop an atypical wide mesh upper, the pair reverts to fairly standard leather overlays and plastic panels that all filter through in the aforementioned colors. Giving the pair a unique twist is a red vamp overlay — a rare method of blocking — and heavily-tumbled leather mudguards. But it’s the branding that sees the biggest change-up, with tongue tags removed in favor of embroidered solo Swooshes, and insole Air Max motifs swapped for typeface.

Though pairs are already available in Asia and Australia, a US release for this Nike Air Max 90 has not yet been noted.
