Nike’s “Set to Rise” Series Continues with the Air Max 90

For as long as one can remember, Nike has shown big love to the Asian market, from the Co.JP exclusives to the famed “Nai-Ke” series. There are the annual CNY celebrations, too, and even one-off collections like this new, “Set to Rise” series that honors the duality of man.

The third is what is expected to be an extensive series of themed releases, this Air Max 90, like the first-revealed Huarache, continues the Eastern thought of duality, the sneaker juxtaposes itself in multiple colors, textures, and finishes in complementary and interdependently, each giving rise to each other as they interrelate. Here, it’s white mesh uppers working in unison with pastel-popped eyestays and overlays, as well as vibrant oranges and charcoals. The collar presents the aforementioned Yin Yang motif, as to do the outsoles that read the pair’s titular phrase Set to Rise to complete the design.

A release date for this all-new Air Max 90 “Set to Rise” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com in time for Summer.
