With last year’s Valentine’s Day. Air Max 90 getting a little love letter, 2022’s release has revealed itself to be a little more raunchy. Yes, like this year’s Nike Dunk Low, the 2022 Nike Air Max 90 “Valentine’s Day” ostensibly appears to be inspired by lingerie — a staple garment of the holiday.

From chiffon embroidered with Nike lettering to silky ribbon laces, the pair is packed with suggestive details. There are satin liners and tongues, thick-cut leather overlays, and tonal plastics and rubbers all arriving in shades of ruby red. This is broken up by a striking white midsole, whilst select hits of orange arrive through the branding to break up the design ever-so-slightly.
