Air Max 95 “Persian Violet” Next in Nike’s BW-Inspired Collection

The celebration of the OG Air Max BW‘s birthday has been quietly percolating off to the side of major stories, but its presence is definitely being felt through a growing list of honorary releases. With silhouettes like the Air Max 90, Air Max 96 II, Air Max Plus, and Air Max 270 already geared up in the Big Window’s OG duds, it only makes sense that the Air Max 95 would join the party, too.

Like the other honorary releases, the Air Max 95 opts not to cop the OG, but merely borrow its famous tri of hues, resulting in a pair with an entirely new (yet so familiar) appearance Here, it is white mesh uppers and top-level overlays that provided a simple base for the accenting Violet and black hues to pop. The former is used sparingly — only at the medial overlay and Air support — while bold blacks grace the toe cap, lower overlays, liners, and outsoles. A touch of metallic silver thread it added to the tongue and ankle mini Swoosh to complete the design.

A release date for this OG-inspired Nike Air Max 95 “Persian Violet” is yet to be revealed, but with the Air Max BW OG expecting a return soon, you should expect to see these also hit select stores and Nike.com in the coming weeks.
