Nike Air Max 96 II “Cool Grey” is on the Way

After a handful of OG releases kicked off the silhouette’s 25th anniversary earlier this year, Nike has shifted its focus to some fairly audacious attempts at the Air Max 96 II. Some come clad in purple suede, whilst others arrive in denim and chenille. Recently, though, we’ve seen the Swoosh revert to simple tonal takes, including a new winterized ripstop option revealed last week. Now a second colorway has appeared in the same theme, this Nike Air Max 96 II “Cool Grey”

Like the pack’s previous pairs, this too is constructed with miserable weather in mind, thanks to its water-resistant ripstop upper. The overlays opt for an Anthracite nubuck finish, while the semi-hidden mudguard continues the pack’s use of a hardened textured finish. Several instances of 3M reflective detail arrive in light grey, whilst Swooshes, laces, and liners all opt for an ominous shade of Anthracite. Bright white midsoles break up the drab uppers, before being finished off by a jet black rubber outsole underfoot.
