The Air Max 96 II Joins Nike’s Winterized Ripstop Range

As we move slowly but surely into Autumn and Winter, Nike is preparing us for the treacherous weather ahead. Now the Air Max 96 II joins the retooled winterized lineup, following the lead of the Air Max 97 and Air Max 90 in delivering a ripstop-laden black, white and red release.

Like the pack’s previous pairs, this too is constructed with miserable weather in mind, thanks to its water-resistant ripstop upper. The overlays opt for a new nubuck finish, while the semi-hidden mudguard continues the pack’s use of a hardened textured finish. Breaking free from a traditional triple black aesthetic, the pair comes poped with bright white laces, and 3M reflective detailing down the sides, while pops of Sport Red round out the design at the Swoosh, tongue, and vamp eyestay.
