OG Nike Air Max 96 ii “Goldenrod” Returns April 8th

With word breaking late last year on a fully-fledged retro of the Air Max 96 ii, you just knew that news of an OG retro would follow shortly thereafter. Now, as the silhouette’s third colorway for 2021 emerges, we can confirm that the Nike Air Max 96 ii “Goldenrod” will be arriving soon.

Just like the recently-revealed reissue of the “Mystic Teal”take, the OG Navy, White and Gold colorway saw a 2016 release, albeit with a modified, cheaper sole unit. OG fans we’re not happy, but for its 30th birthday. Nike has redeemed itself by re-upping the original in both color and form. Official images for the release now confirm that showcasing the chunky sole unit underfoot — though it does appear that the Air Bubbles are significantly smaller than the OG — and uppers of dark navy mesh, jagged white leather overlays, and striking splashes of Goldenrod yellow throughout.

Cult fans of the silhouette will get the chance to secure the OG reissue over the Spring, with an Air Max Month release the likely outcome.
