Nike Air Max 96 II “Persian Violet” is Next to Honor the OG Big Window

The celebration of the OG Air Max BW‘s birthday has quietly percolated to the side of major stories, but it’s presence is definitely being felt through a growing list of honorary releases. With mainstay silhouettes like the Air Max 90, Air Max Plus, and Air Max 270 already geared up in the Big Window’s OG Persian Violet duds, it’s now time for the resurgent Air Max 96 II to assimilate the colorway in celebration.

With the design lines between the BW and the 96 differing in so many ways, it’s hard to nail a perfect transfer of colorway. Instead, they’ve done it in an entirely new arrangement, focusing heavily on Violet mesh and supple black leather overlays. A sparing use of white arrives at the tongue, Swoosh, and streaking side lines, before returning to deep dark hues underfoot on the jet black sole unit and purple-loaded Air supports to complete the design.

A release date for this OG-inspired Nike Air Max 96 II “Persian Violet” is yet to be revealed, but with the Air Max BW OG expecting a return next month, you should expect to see these also hit select stores and Nike.com in the coming weeks.
