Nike Air Max 96 II Takes-On Tonal “Triple Black” Colors

After a handful of OG releases kicked off the silhouette’s 25th anniversary earlier this year, Nike has shifted its focus to some fairly audacious attempts at the Air Max 96 II. Some come clad in purple suede, whilst others arrive in denim and chenille, but now Nike goes for a no-frills approach in delivering an everyman’s Air Max 96 II “Triple Black”

Arriving in nothing but black hues, the pair has to rely heavily on its shifts in textile and its ultra-bust upper for contrast. And even with the myriad of material and the aggressive overlays, it’s a fairly reserved release. With black mesh uppers, the pair opts for overlays of nubuck, nylon, and 3M reflective. Staying true to it’s name the pair’s embroidered branding (and even the insole detail) arrives in tonal black, with the sole unit, Air supports, and literally everything else following suit.
