Redskins Fans will Rally ’round these Air Max 98s

Next up for the 90s icon:

The Air Max 98 has seen quite the return to favor since its reissue early last year and has since established itself as a streetwear staple. It’s similarity to its predecessor has played a big part in its success, but so has it’s increased maximal design language, which lends itself to a wide array of color blocking options. This all-new almost Washington Redskins-themed pair utilizes a fair chunk of that, using layering and colors to great effect. Starting up top with a white liner and tongue, the pair shifts to a charcoal mesh, which comes sporting grey leather overlays and matching embroidered detail. Golden-Yellow-lined Team Red leather overlays wrap the mesh upper, and at then overlayed again by Wolf Grey suede mudguards, before returning to white on the midsole, golden yellow Air Units and returning to black once more on the outsole — creating one hell of a layer cake-like effect. Completing the pair is some intriguing hits of Green Strike on the Swoosh, outsole and heel detail, which, on paper sounds horrendous, but works oh-so-well with the overall palate.

Release dates for this maximally-blocked Air Max 98 are yet to be announced, but with official images surfacing, along with retailers like Noir Fonce adding these to their ‘Coming Soon’ pages, you can expect a release to be right around the corner.
