Upside Down and Inside Out.
Nike’s collaboration with Stranger Things isn’t their only foray into the Upside Down — with these two “Inside Out” Air Max 98 editions set to touchdown soon. Serving as a follow-up to the two-piece pack of “Inside Out” Air Max 1s comes a matching set of Air Max 98s, again with one pair sporting a black/grey/beige makeup, and the other a warmer, more vibrant tan, red, white and black, both of which arrive inverted. What’s normally left on the inside of a sneaker — the overhang on the material seam line, exposed stitching and underside of materials— is now on full display. The Air heel embroidery is also flipped, with lacestays extended and over-stiched — as is the forefoot abstract overlays — and even the tongue labels have been replaced by production tags.
