Still trying to reach the high heights left by its predecessor, the Air Max Plus 2 is endeavoring to pick up some traction after being out of the spotlight for two decades and establishing itself an impressive catalog and drawing in new fans along the way. This latest addition is leaning into current hype trends with the use of striking hues on a chunky base.
This retro, despite being over 20 years old, still holds an allure of futuristic appeal thanks to the tooling and textiles used. The upper is constructed using a breathable mesh as its base that features a white-to-grey gradient, overlayed on top we see a beige nubuck toe cap, hyper green-to-grey wave lines, and strategically placed highly reflective 3M hits throughout. Underfoot holding up the design, sits a crisp white midsole unit complete with a fully translucent Air system that is all framed with a black and green neon rubber outsole. Completing the design is the on theme swoosh and TN branding located on the tongue and heel.
