Nike Adds Removable Metallic Gold Swooshes to the Air Max Plus
Check this out 👀
Velcro Swooshes from Nike is not a new thing. We’ve seen it on a plethora of releases over the years, from the Foamposite Pro to the Air Force 1, with the customizable feature establishing itself as a bonafide fan-favorite. Now it makes its way to the cult-followed Air Max Plus — and it does so in an atypical minimalist fashion.
The shark-toothed silhouette, with its aggressive sole unit comprised of seven Air bubbles, is known for its ludicrously vibrant colorways and off-the-wall patterns. But this removable Swoosh pairing reverts to a time-tested Triple Black colorway, save the standard Tn branding and white detail on the tongues and insoles. Mini 3D midfoot Checks are swapped out for flat, oversized Swoosh patches in metallic gold, which reveal black Velcro beneath. Air units, cage overlays, and midfoot shanks are all painted in jet black, with the only other let up being the underfoot Tuned Air pods, which arrive in red.
At this stage, it’s unclear whether this sneaker will include alternate Swooshes to mix and match, but it is likely. As for a release date, one was not attached to the official images below, so be sure to keep your eyes locked on our Nike Release Dates page for more details.
