Nike Air Max Plus “Black/Total Orange” Brings Halloween Energy
Nike’s Air Max lineage is one of the most deeply entrenched subcultures in the sneaker world — and at its heart lies the Tuned Air community, a fiercely loyal group with a particular affection for the original Air Max Plus. While all eyes are on the return of the Air Max Plus VII later this year, Nike continues to feed the flame with a bold new colorway for the TN1: “Black/Total Orange.”
Draped in a menacing gradient mesh that fades from jet black to a fiery orange, the pair leans into familiar Halloween hues with just the right amount of contrast. Blacked-out caging overlays, mudguards, and midsoles ground the design, while glossy orange Swooshes and exposed Air units add punchy highlights throughout. A minor yellow hit on the heel nods back to the shoe’s signature Tuned Air branding.
Though new TN7s are coming, the “Black/Total Orange” Air Max Plus proves the OG still has plenty of life. It’s a simple yet effective palette that’s sure to land well with TN traditionalists — and perfectly timed for Fall rotations.
Pairs of the Nike Air Max Plus “Black/Total Orange” are expected to be released this Fall via Nike.com and select retailers for $180.
