It's no secret that the 2026 World Cup™ tournament is an important event for all parties involved. NIKE, Inc. is no exception. Although the sportswear juggernaut has prepped handfuls of official designs in partnership with football federations like Brazil and England, the Oregon-based company has also put together non-official product to accompany any football aesthetic.
Case in point?: A Nike Air Max Plus covered in a color palette reminiscent of the France 2026 Away jersey.
Having already appeared in action against Brazil as part of an international friendly hosted at Gillette Stadium, the second shirt for the Fédération Française de Football's (FFF) has quickly been celebrated as one of the upcoming World Cup™'s best. Its minty-green finish across Aero-FIT material nods to New York City's Statue of Liberty. Shimmering bronze accents take over the kits' Gallic Rooster crest, player number, and Swoosh logo, recalling the original look of the Statue—a gift from France to the United States of America in 1886.

Unlike a previously-seen France 2026 World Cup™ Air Max Plus collaboration, the newly-surfaced Tuned Air-pioneer doesn't feature any FFF crest or "France" call-out across Sean McDowell's blueprint. Its "Black/Monarch/Dark Russet/Igloo" color scheme, however, closely mimics the hues found on the aforementioned Away kit.
Furthermore, French footballers like Kylian Mbappe have showcased a deep appreciation for Air Max heritage in the past—in particular Tn-variants. A France-friendly makeover on the Air Max Plus, then, is surely never coincidence.
The impending sneaker also matches well with the France 2026 Away Anthem Jacket, which features a Statue of Liberty mint green and shimmering copper accents.
Enjoy official photos of the Air Max Plus ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com soon. Expect Adult and Kids' sizing to launch.
