Nike is adding a sharper edge to one of its most recognizable silhouettes with the Nike Air Max Plus "Pink Gradient", a Spring 2026 release that introduces a jewelry-inspired update to the Tuned Air classic. Retailing for $210, this new colorway blends the model’s familiar aggressive lines with unexpected detailing that pushes the Plus firmly into statement territory.
At first glance, the shoe’s signature gradient does most of the talking. A vivid pink mesh at the forefoot fades smoothly into deeper purple hues toward the heel, staying true to the Air Max Plus’ long history with high-contrast fades. Black TPU cage overlays sit on top of the mesh, preserving the ribbed structure that defines the silhouette while giving the bright underlay a sense of control and balance. Black continues across the mudguard, laces, tongue, and midsole, grounding the design and keeping the gradient from feeling overworked.
The biggest update arrives on the tongue, where Nike adds a series of small diamond-like studs surrounding the Air badge. These crystal-style accents introduce a luxe touch rarely seen on the Air Max Plus, turning what is usually a purely performance-driven detail into a focal point. Matching studs also appear along the lace panel, subtly catching light as the shoe moves. It’s a detail that feels deliberate rather than flashy, offering contrast against the otherwise dark, utilitarian build.

Branding remains familiar elsewhere. Metallic Swooshes land on the sidewalls, while pink Nike Air hits appear on the tongue badge and insoles. Underfoot, the blacked-out midsole houses visible Tuned Air units, maintaining the cushioning setup that made the model a staple when it first launched in the late ’90s. A dark rubber outsole with pink accents completes the look without distracting from the upper.
Set for Spring 2026, the Nike Air Max Plus "Pink Gradient" with diamond stud detailing feels like a natural evolution of the silhouette. It respects the model’s bold heritage while introducing a refined twist that sets it apart from standard gradient releases.
