Available Now // Nike Air Max Plus “Photon Dust”

If there’s anything the Nike Air Max Plus is known for, it’s gradients. When Sean McDowell took inspiration from palm trees during a Florida sunset, who knew just what kind of trend he’d set in motion. Though it was originally used on the mesh uppers, it’s since been used in a multitude of ways, including as an effect on its signature vein overlays — and sometimes it’s not used at all. Here, on this next release, it’s only spotted once on the midfoot shank, leaving each and every panel, accent, and overlay in a solid-color finish.

Anchored in a light grey waffle-like mesh, the pair’s grey vein overlays bridge the gap between the upper and its scratchy black guards, toe cap, and heel overlays. There’s much the same going on at the tongue, with white and greys working with black laces to balance the upper just below. Pops of deep red are introduced a the Swoosh branding, midfoot shank, and Air supports, with the pair then completed by a black rubber outsole underfoot.

An official release date for the pair is still unknown, but you should expect to see this new Nike Air Max Plus hit select retailers and Nike.com soon.
