The Nike Air Max Plus Goes Iridescent
Nike’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of Air Max technology continues into 2025, and it seems the classics are again taking center stage.
For Spring 2025, the Air Max Plus “Iridescent” will feature a stunning new colorway that’s anything but ordinary. Known for its distinctive Tuned Air cushioning system, designed by Sean McDowell, the model stays true to its original shape and performance attributes. However, Nike is adding a compelling twist — a color-shifting Iridescent material. This treatment causes the upper to shift hues depending on the light and angle, showing off an impressive blend of purples, blues, greens, and pinks reminiscent of an oil-slicked surface. This dynamic look adds an unexpected layer of depth to the classic silhouette.
While the eye-catching iridescent finish makes a bold statement, the rest of the shoe keeps it simple and true to form.
