Another “Tuned” Nike Air Max Plus Appears in Navy Gradients

The Nike Air Max Plus has long been more than just a sneaker—it’s a symbol. Designed by Sean McDowell in 1998, the silhouette has cemented its status as a streetwear essential, especially in Paris and Australia, where its cult following borders on reverence. Now, with fall fast approaching, Nike introduces a new “Ironstone” colorway that leans into the season's earthy aesthetics.

This latest edition features a muted taupe mesh base wrapped in tonal brown cage overlays. The glossy brown mudguard adds a touch of polish, while the signature wavy lines stay intact, tracing the upper in a subtle gradient. Classic reflective accents return along the tongue and forefoot, and a soft grey Swoosh adds contrast without disrupting the warm palette. Underfoot, the pair sticks with the signature Air Max Plus sole unit in a blend of brown and white, complete with visible Air cushioning.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Ironstone” is expected to release this fall via Nike.com and select retailers.
