The Nike Air Max Plus Cools Off in “Obsidian/Aluminum”

Known for its bold palettes and head-turning designs, the Nike Air Max Plus has long been a canvas for eye-catching hues. But for its upcoming Fall 2025 release, the silhouette dials things down with a cooler, more collected approach.

Dressed in a trio of Obsidian, Aluminum, and Diffused Blue, this new take swaps the loud neons and bright gradients for a layered blue scheme that feels more aligned with the changing seasons. Breathable mesh uppers arrive in a deep navy tone, complemented by lighter aluminum overlays and toe caps. The signature wavy cage retains its prominence, now rendered in soft blues that almost appear frosted against the darker backdrop.

The signature Tuned Air sole unit also leans into the cooler theme, mixing icy blue air pods with steel-toned gradients along the midfoot shank and outsole. A final touch of subtle silver branding ties it all together without straying from the understated concept.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Obsidian/Aluminum/Diffused Blue” does not yet have a confirmed release date, but you can expect pairs to arrive this fall via Nike.com and select retailers.
