As Nike dives back into its archives, it's clear that the '90s remain a treasure trove of style. Set for a re-release, the Nike Air Max Plus OG "Voltage Purple" is already stirring excitement among fans. 25 years since its debut, and a brief appearance five years ago, this classic is making another comeback.

Heralding its legacy that began in 1998, the "Voltage Purple" variant doesn't merely honor its roots but vividly celebrates its illustrious past. Drawing inspiration from one of Sean McDowell's initial conceptions, the sneaker artfully captures the essence of the era it emerged from. A mesmerizing purple gradient, shifting effortlessly from deep tones to lighter shades, engulfs its mesh upper. Contrasted by the imposing black TPU overlays and a translucent toe bumper, it exudes a vintage charm. As if adding exclamation points to its statement, reflective bars ascend the tongue, crowned by a radiant orange mini Swoosh.

Black leather, both smooth and supple, wraps around the tongue, heel, and guards against mud, lending a touch of luxury. Yet, it's the bursts of Total Orange on the tongue and within the ethereal Air bubble that keep eyes lingering, reminiscing the days of old. A final nod to its heritage, the Tuned Air emblem proudly marks its territory on the heel, asserting its ageless stature.

An official drop date on nike.com will go down on January 20, 2024.
