Sean McDowell designed the Nike Air Max Plus in 1998 with two goals in mind: create a cutting-edge running shoe to be sold exclusively at Foot Locker. Over the last 27 years, his creation has become a streetwear staple, amassing countless makeovers that firmly position it within the world of casual use.

Ahead of 2026, the pioneering Tuned Air silhouette has emerged in a new Premium (PRM) ensemble. The style features a "Black/Metallic Rose Gold/Laser Orange" color scheme that evokes images of the "Honey Black" Corteiz Air Max 95 collaboration from April. The Air Max Plus' use of leather across the upper also strengthens comparisons to the highly-lauded Air Max project.

Palm tree-inspired TPU overlays throughout the sidewalls maintain a glossy finish, as does the eye-catching miniature swooshes on the profiles. Badges on the top-of-the-tongue follow suit in terms of color, but the boldest elements arrive underfoot. Mid-foot shanks and visible Air units indulge in "Laser Orange" flair that keeps the latest take on McDowell's design from being just another ultra-stealthy pair.

Enjoy official photos of the Premium makeover ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com by April 2026 for at least $190.
