Nike Gives the Air Max Plus a Wheat and Black Render

The Nike Air Max Plus continues to bask in the limelight of its 25th anniversary in 2023 — but while we're still waiting for an elusive OG retro, there are plenty of contemporary releases in the works, including this new iteration in "Wheat/Black."

The sneaker starts with a warm tan mesh upper, forming the design's core. This earthy tone is carried through to the tongue and laces, creating a cohesive and inviting aesthetic. The heel and midfoot guards are crafted in bold, textured black synthetics. This stark contrast to the Wheat upper provides a modern twist, underscoring the Air Max Plus's reputation for being bold. The cage overlays are a standout feature, transitioning from black at the base to Wheat as they ascend, integrating the two main colors seamlessly.

The bright white midsoles below the upper add a clean, crisp element to the sneaker, further elevating the design. Concrete midfoot shanks support these midsoles, showcasing a blend of Wheat and black that ties the entire color scheme together beautifully. Rounding off the design is a classic black rubber sole unit.

This new Nike Air Max Plus is slated for a Fall release, though specifics on the drop remain under wraps for now.
