Nike’s Air Max Plus "Tuned" Splashes Big Branding Across the Upper
The Nike Air Max Plus has always been about going against the grain. From its aggressive wavy upper to its groundbreaking Tuned Air cushioning, it carved out a space for itself as one of the boldest silhouettes in Nike history. Now, for Summer/Fall 2025, the Swoosh is pushing that legacy even further with the upcoming Nike Air Max Plus "Tuned."
This new take supercharges the Air Max Plus' unmistakable DNA by splashing oversized "AIR" lettering across the upper — a first for the silhouette. But the updates don't stop there. A functional lace-toggle system, borrowing from technical design trends, brings a modern edge to the classic late-‘90s model, blending performance and utility with streetwear appeal.
Despite these heavy-handed changes, the core of the Air Max Plus remains untouched. Full-length Tuned Air units, the signature midfoot shank, and the aggressive profile that made the silhouette famous still serve as the backbone of the design.
While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, you can expect the Nike Air Max Plus "Tuned" to arrive sometime in Fall 2025.
