The Nike Air Max Plus Pays Tribute to the UCLA Bruins
They may be out of the NCAA tournament, but the UCLA Bruins can hold their heads high after a memorable run. And as any fan knows, Bruins spirit doesn’t fade when the final buzzer sounds. With that in mind, Nike is helping fans gear up for next season with a new Air Max Plus that borrows heavily from the school’s iconic colors.
Anchored in crisp white mesh with a matching white midsole, this upcoming release introduces bold collegiate energy through striking blue overlays across the mudguard, heel wrap, midfoot shank, and signature TPU cage. A soft gradient effect runs through the cage structure for added depth, giving the upper a dynamic, wave-like finish.
Gold accents—reminiscent of UCLA’s famed “Team Gold”—define the mini Swoosh and line the interior of the visible Air units. Underfoot, a solid black rubber outsole grounds the design, offering a clean contrast that rounds out the look.
Whether you're repping Westwood or appreciate a good colorway, this Air Max Plus delivers on both fronts.
Expect a release this summer via Nike.com and select retailers.
