Available Now: Nike Air Max Plus VII "University Red"

Nike's Air Max Plus VII debuted in 2005. For its 20th anniversary celebration, it's returned in a healthy mix of original and modern takes—including a look primarily comprised of "University Red" flair.

Accompanied by a medley of "Black/White/Metallic Silver," the newly-surfaced ensemble harkens back to the mid-aughts, coupling bold, "in your face" hues with fast-feeling hits of shimmering metals. The result was and is a silhouette that seemed ahead of its time, perfect for the moment, and futuristic simultaneously.

Underfoot, Tuned Air cushioning continued to build on the legacy of Sean McDowell's original Nike Air Max Plus design from 1998. Traction patterns further experimented with aesthetics without sacrificing function.
