Nike’s Tuned Air Turns Up Toned Down

Tuned Air, toned down.

Nike‘s most audacious Air Max design of the 90s returns, this time opting for a more subdued mix of black and white. But it is the Tn we’re talking about here, a silhouette where vibrancy and color is the norm — albeit in minimal on this rendition.

The small pops of color contrast hit the midfoot’s mini Swoosh, which arrives in Volt Green, and also carries across to the midfoot shank and outsole, with the visible Air unit arrives in Red. The remainder of the sneaker served up in monochromatic black and white, but it’s hardly mundane, with gradient cage overlays, contrasting laces to tongues and bold leather overlays competing with heavy-duty textured mesh underlays.
