Nike Air Max Tailwind Set to Arrive in “Pure Platinum” for Summer

Nike’s Air Max Tailwind IV is quickly establishing itself as the go-to sneaker of Summer 2019, following the reissued trends of last year’s Air Max 98 and 2017’s Air Max 97. As the rollout of GR colorways kicked off with last weekend’s OG Volt offering, you can expect all-new takes on the silhouette to begin to surface as we head into the Summer months. And this next to surface “Pure Platinum” pairing will be one of the hottest on offer, thanks to its versatility. We’ve seen an array of color combinations hit the web, but none yet surfacing in a minimalistic colorway. This rendition nails it, merging the maximal design with one of the most basic color palates ever used in the history of sneakers.

Arriving with a white mesh base, it comes paired with sail leather overlays and soft grey accents combining to present a timeless light style that’s aged as gracefully as the Tailwind IV itself. The midsole follows suit with the sail upper, and a grey outsole with a small light blue Air Max badge — the design’s only deviation from its color palette — completes the look.
