Nike’s Air Max Tailwind IV Is Returning in its OG Volt Colorway
Twenty Years in the making!
Nike’s Air Max Tailwind IV is celebrating its 20th Birthday in 2019 – and it’s bringing an OG to the party.
The Swoosh brand’s partnership with Supreme on the 1999 Air Max classic will undoubtedly inject some new life back into the silhouette, which has been missing from shelves for too many years to count. But for the OG heads, there’s nothing like the return of it’s “Volt” makeup — one of the very first Tailwind IVs to ever release.
The OG is served in a classic 90s mix of White leather and mesh, contrasted by hits of Black trim, toe overlays, and lining, but the sneaker’s personality lies prominently with its plastic midfoot overlays, sporting a period-favorite gradient effect, which arrives in green and volt. Thos two colors carry over to the outsole and visible Air unit respectively, with vibrant Volt also striking the heel’s lateral mini Swoosh.
Still as polarizing as ever, grab a look at the full set of official images below ahead of its suspected Spring release. Stay locked into HOUSE OF HEAT for release updates and on-foot looks!
