The Nike Tailwind IV Welcomes White and Navy Gradients

It’s been a minute since we saw a nice, clean colorway of the Air Max Tailwind IV touchdown — last October, in fact. It’s a sure sign that Nike is slowing down the releases for the silhouette which has seen a year-long retro run that was kicked off by the three-piece Supreme collaboration in Spring/Summer 2019. Yes, it’s true, all good things must (eventually) come to an end — but not quite yet, it seems. This new White/Navy makeup might be giving us the best send-off a silhouette could ask for, arriving in a classic two-tone take that’s a perfect reflection of the late-’90s era from which it hails.

Here, classic white leather overlays cover a white-to-navy mesh upper, which is overlaid again by another gradient effect on the mid panel teeth with the colors inverted. Navy accents also arrive at the collar, tongue overlay, heel panel, forefoot, Air window paintwork, and outsole, amongst others. The remainder of the sneaker is done up in crisp whites, from the midsole to the liner, as well as the eyelets and the tongue.

Can’t go wrong with a classic — especially in a classic colorway like this. But as for a release? We’re still waiting on the specifics, but we are expecting it to land at select Swoosh stockists as well as Nike.com very soon. Until then, enjoy an official look at the pair below, and keep it locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
