This Nike Air Max TL 2.5 Channels Original Air Max 95 "Neon" Energy

Nike Sportswear's revival of the Air Max TL 2.5 has included a healthy mix of original and new styles. Along the way, the Swoosh has seemingly referenced tones and color-blockings emblematic of other footwear cushioned with visible Air. Case in point?: A "Neon Yellow" ensemble reminiscent of the original Air Max 95.

The pair's "Pearl Grey/Anthracite/Light Graphite/Neon Yellow" look isn't a one-to-one recreation of Sergio Lozano's iconic design, but the similarities are undeniable. A vibrant tone animates profile swooshes and the full-length Air Max unit underfoot. Different shades of grey line the profiles, creating a dark-to-light presentation the closer it gets to the tongue. Lozano's 30-year-old creation follows a similar execution, which was famously inspired by nature.
