Nike’s split-toe Air Rift is back with another fashion-leaning update, this time trading the soft ballet cues of recent pairs for a darker floral finish.
The Nike Air Rift “Flowers” keeps the model’s familiar tabi-toed shape but dresses it in a black leather build, giving the 1996 trainer a cleaner, more elevated feel. Patent-style strap overlays add a subtle shine, while velvet-like trim softens the edges around the collar and split-toe forefoot.
The main detail arrives through leather flower appliqués placed across the vamp and lateral ankle. Finished in black with metallic bead centers, the floral hits add a feminine touch without pulling the pair away from its all-black base. Small white Swoosh embroidery appears near the toe, while Nike Air branding on the insole and heel strap keeps the rest of the design minimal.
The Air Rift has always lived in its own lane, sitting somewhere between a runner, sandal, and lifestyle shoe. This “Flowers” edition leans further into that uniqueness, offering a more polished take that feels closer to a fashion piece than a traditional sneaker.

The Nike Air Rift “Flowers” is expected to release later this year via Nike.com and select retailers.
