Nike Sportswear is gradually building out its roster of footwear to celebrate Japan's Culture Day, a 24-hour public holiday commemorating and promoting culture, arts, and academic endeavor. Recently, the Women's Air Rift emerged in a makeover ripe for the annual Nov. 3 occasion.
In comparison to a previously-seen LD-1000, the Nike Air Rift takes on a clean "Summit White/Metallic Silver" color scheme, abandoning the pastel-heavy update of its predecessor. Nevertheless, the laceless silhouette features a furry finish across its upper, which dons a series of straps throughout. Star-shaped, shimmering hardware fastens the pair's main strap, bringing one of the holiday's popular motifs to the footwear choice.
Elsewhere, the Air Rift's nod to Culture Day 2025 arrives in the form of an all-over collage print on the footbeds; the same graphic treatment takes over the shoe box, differentiating the style from inline editions of the tabi-toe design.
Enjoy official photos of the experimental Air Rift ahead. Pairs should release across Asia via Nike.com and select retailers by the end of October.
