Nike Air Trainer 1 “Don’t I Know You?” Honors a Classic Bo Jackson Poster

With OG colorways like the Photon Dust and the famed Chlorophyll colorways joining a big-name collaboration from Travis Scott, Tinker Hatfields Nike Air Trainer 1’s 35h anniversary has been well celebrated. But the celebration wouldn’t be complete without a shout-out to the brand’s biggest cross-training athlete, Bo Jackson.

Before he got his own SC Trainer High, Bo, along with John McEnroe and Andre Agassi, were the marquee athletes for the Air Trainer 1 — but Jackson was truly the only cross-sport athlete of the lot, resulting in a series of “Don’t I Know You?” advertisements, showing the NFL and MLB All-Star in a multitude of athletic fits, because you just know Bo would be a natural at all of them; that’s what the shoe was intended for — multi-purpose use.

This new Nike Air Trainer 1 “Don’t I Know You?” honors that campaign, but more so Bo’s time with the Kansas City Royals, as it dons the franchise colors of white, University Blue, and Old Royal in simplistic styling. Furthermore, it honors Jackson’s pro sports codes, with both baseball and football-inspired stitching at the heels. The pair is then completed by “Don’t I Know You?” inner tongue tags, and graphic insoles that read out all the sports pictured in the campaign below:
